Lisa Stahr
I was looking for a fresh new way of working out and a friend recommended Fit Force.  Guys, this is NOT a boot camp – I’ve done boot camps – this is a fitness group for people who are serious about fitness, but who also want to enjoy the camaraderie of the people that they’re working out with.  Fred [instructor] is so motivating and he keeps things fresh.  I enjoy that the workouts are outside and don’t require equipment.  Highly recommend joining!!

I started training with Fred and Fit Force to get in shape for a running/obstacle event that was only 8 weeks away. We worked upper body, lower body and ran for cardio. The workouts were tough- though the toughest part was getting there at 5:30 am- and I was tired, cranky and sore, but I LOVED every minute of the workouts and runs. We all had a good time together and I got in really great shape for my event. Fred is a great coach and was always looking out for me, as well as everyone else to make sure we were doing well and having fun. I've done a few bootcamps and this is one of the most challenging, and rewarding ones. Go Fit Force!

I have now completed four sessions of Fit Force. The workouts are intense but great for all fitness levels; not to mention highly effective. The harder you work, the better you feel! I have enjoyed the variety of workouts and the guidance (with love) that Fred has bestowed upon us. He is an excellent teacher and motivator! I would recommend Fit Force to anyone. Fit Force has changed my life.  Fred takes each of us to new heights in our fitness goals.  When I first joined the group,  I was barely able to run 3 miles.  Fred worked with me to develop my endurance, my speed, and my fitness level.  Last year I completed my first half marathon.  Now I have five under my belt and have never felt better.  I have been a part of Fit Force for four years and couldn't dream of spending my mornings any other way.  I love the training, the comraderie and my Fit Force Family.

If you want a really hard workout, then Fit Force is it.  We never do the same thing twice, so the challenge is always there.  We might run 5 miles one day, do 300 push-ups the next or swim laps at Barton Springs after running in sand.  I'm in the best shape of my life, at that is due entirely to Fit Force.  On top of that, the group is very laid back.  There are no super serious meat heads or rude people.

For months I struggled to maintain a steady exercise schedule, but nothing stuck, and waking up early to workout was definitely not in the cards.  That all changed once I started running and working out in the mornings with Fred.  He keeps it fresh with new variations to the workouts each day, and is genuinely invested in the progress of each Fit Force member.  Running through the streets of Austin in the wee hours of the morning when the streets are empty is also a great way to see the city.  I would follow Fred into hell.

In college I was on the women's rowing team at the University of Texas. Once I graduated I told myself I would lay on the couch and eat whatever I wanted without working out. It had been about a year and a half and I had definately packed on the pounds. I decided it was finally time to get back in shape. I joined Fred's class in January of 2005 and it's been great. Fred takes the time to work with you individually and if you want to work on something specific and also finds ways to make every class different and challenging. Fit Force has definitely brought back the athlete in me!

I have been working out with Fred for approximately 2 months and have noticed a considerable change in muscle tone and endurance. I’m truly amazed at how much I have improved in the short time I have attended Fred’s class. The first day of class I had a difficult time jogging 1 mile. In just 2 months, I’m now able to run 3 miles without feeling like I’m going to pass out, which I thought I would never be possible! I even ran my first 5k ever! Not only is the class fun and challenging, but Fred and the entire group are extremely supportive and very encouraging. The class pushes me to go beyond what I ever thought possible. Fred’s class is very challenging but worth every bit of sweat!

As much as I hate to work out, it is a necessity. My problem is staying motivated. I’ve tried to run on my own at home and have purchased a gym membership but I always end up falling off the wagon. I recently found Fit Force and it has been the answer to my workout problems. Fred keeps the workouts challenging and different from day to day. Not only am I motivated but I’m held accountable. Knowing that Fred and the rest of the group are expecting me to be there in the morning has made working out a part of my daily routine. Thanks Fit Force!!

Fit Force is a great way to exercise and feel better about yourself.  When I got out of the Navy, I sat around and got out of shape.  But then a few months later, I joined Fit force and it got me back in shape and ready for the Dallas Police Academy.  Fred is a great instructor and allows the workouts to be fun and enjoyable and not just dull and boring.  You will get in awesome shape for the summer and the winter too, cause we still run the WTF hill when its freezing outside.

I recommend Fit Force to any one looking to improve their overall health and get in shape.  The workouts are definitely challenging no matter what shape you are in.  If you are just starting to get back in shape like I was, Fred will work with you at your own pace.  If you are already in good shape, get ready to be pushed to your limit.

Fred's workouts are a blend of techniques that he combines well into a holistic regimen. He works your endurance and aerobic stamina while also not ignoring the short-span muscle movements developed with speed drills and explosion exercises. The workouts vary greatly, which keeps things more entertaining for those who get bored with 2 hour trips to the weight room or long runs day after day. On top of it all, Fred's a great motivator and very in tune with how you're body's holding up, so he's able to quickly recognize your fitness level and accommodate accordingly. You always feel like you worked out in that sweet spot between easy and hard--you can feel progress week in and week out working with Fred. There were more than a few days where I didn't think I could do something, but Fred knew I could and pushed me that extra bit to get it done. That's a satisfying feeling.

I've always tried my best to be active, but since I really didn't have a coach to push me and I always stopped the minute I felt uncomfortable.  I would always try my best to go the gym everyday, but motivation was something that I lacked because there wasn't really a friend that would go with me and so there was no encouragement there. After hearing about Fit Force from my co-workers, I went out and tried it for the 1st time.I enjoyed it immensely because everybody in the class is very encouraging and I was pushed to my limit.


After a month of doing the workout I am amazed with the results. I can see the difference in my endurance and the way I feel. I have more energy and the best part is for the 1st time in my life I am now able to run a few miles without having to stop! I now have the goal of doing a race for the first time which was something that I would have never thought of doing before.

The group workout environment is fun and encouraging, and I love being outside. I also like how Fred varies the workout to prevent boredom.
